I was extremely bored last night in my EXP group and we were all talking about how we wanted to change locations. I said, Ok -whatever. When we Teleported to Mea, everyone grabbed a chocobo but me. I told them in embarassment, "Sorry guys, I'll have to run. I dont have that much money." Next thing I know, one guy from my group comes up to me and hands me 40k gil. FOR NO REASON other then I was poor. I asked him repeatedly, "Are you sure???" and he just smiled and road off.

So.... 40k.

I have given old LS members who quit and and come back like 20~30K. For a LS wedding, I donated 100K so that we could buy Verm Cloak as a wedding gift for the bride.

Outside of that I also had a friend give me 3 mil when they had quit. To bad for those that payed a bad price on the AH items, I went to the AH when I saw this each time but with the frequency that those items sell at the Price History was long gone on who payed those bad amounts. Without any backing evidence I could see myself without suspicion of it being photoshopped I ended up just keeping the money.

Did help to pay for a good chunk of gear for 70+ range. Been nearly 3 months since that happen and not once got a message or anything about it so think it's safe to say the gils mine now.

You are quite possibly the luckiest person ever to have had that happen to you multiple times and for so much gil...

No one has given me anything this time around. But it's cool. I'm relatively self-sufficient at this point. It's amazing how easy it is to make gil if you know what you're doing from the moment you spawn in your starting city for the first time.

200k to buy pieces of gear I was trying to obtain asap before price increased.

Mistakes by ah buyers:
4,025,000 for a stack of magic pot shards. Tried to give the money back but the ah history didn't go back far enough (hadn't logged in for 2 days :/).

100+k for some small priced item. Actually was able to get to the ah in time and contact the person though it was difficult because he spoke japanese and I didn't. After using some of the auto-translation words he finally noticed his mistake and repeatedly told me thanks. Odd thing was I did the math wrong and actually refunded more money than I should have so he came out with like a 10k bonus lol.

Think the most I've loaned a friend was 500k. Of course when/if I quit, I'll likely give my character to a friend or just pool all my sellable gear and distribute it among my friends.

I had asked how he supported such gear financially, to which he replied he'd been playing for 3 years. I said that i could barely afford the things i wore, and, as i was logging out at the end of the party one of the guys gave me 20,000.


On a previous occasion, i was given 10,000. And, on my very first day when i was just trying to come to terms with the auction house, one very kind person gave me 6 flint stones..lol.
