what are blink bands

What are these blink bands I keep hearing about :confused:

Basically it's an item you wear and can use to give you the spell Blink. It has a limited number of uses (like other items with Enchantment on it).

I can't remember the cooldown time before you use it again.

I don't think it is too great to be honest.
Remember it won't be like Utsusemi where the first 3 attacks diirected at you are guaranteed to be avoided. It is more like the spell Blink where at any time in 10 minutes you might absorb any 3 hits directed to you.

I have never seen a PLD use this for an EXP party yet and I personally don't see much use in it.

No, it's a situational thing. Having one around for dire circumstances can really help out. For Maat fight, for instance, it can come in incredibly handy.

As well, for certain HNM/NM, if you're suddenly taking a pounding and need to avoid a hit or two, this is very useful.

Yeah, I think it's more or less a Maat/quest item mainly. For example, I used it on my RNG Maat fight, and he ended up only hitting me once (first 3 hits were all blinked).

Though if I remeber correctly, the use of the band is much longer than 4 seconds, so it's not really useful in an exp type of environment.
