What video cards are importers using

What video cards are all the importers using at the moment? I'm just wondering.:spin:

umm GeForce4 4200, GeForce4 4400, GeForce4 4600, GeForce4 MX. well that is what most importers use

My recommendation is to check the Benchmark thread at the top and pay attention to the titles of people whom are labeled "Import FFXI Players". Those people have their stat posted.

Most people are using a GeForce 4 of somekind, and some are using the latest ATI Raedon. I myself on the other hand tried both a GeForce 4 and Geforce 3. Between a GeForce 4 MX and a GeForce 3, the difference is minimal. However, the gap between GeForce 4 Ti series vs. all the others are huge. So my recommendation is to get a GeForce 4 Ti if you can afford it.

i just ordered my new system and I am getting the
radeon 9700 pro, so far from what i have heard this is a very good vid card. though i also heard that the 9800 pro will be out soon.

my friend was wondering if he could play ffxi on his comp.

Ya that is basically what I had when I first started the game, and it worked fine. After I upgraded to TI 4200 and 1Gig of ram.

If your getting one of the Ti series, make sure your processor and mother board cuts with it or else you're gonna see major slow downs in-game regarding lag graphic wise. Btw I use the g4 ti 4600.
