Shaman's Cloak or Black Cotehardie + AF hat?

Just wondering what you all thought about Shaman's Cloak vs. Black Cotehardie + AF hat for blm. I'm a 59 Mithra blm and lately I've been seeing so many blms running around in the cotehardie, AF combo that I'm beginning to think that might be the better way to go? I've been using my Shaman's since 56 and planned to keep using it until the Black Cloak, but now I'm not so sure.

For reference, stats on Shaman's are: MP +24, INT +4, Enfeebling and Elemental skill +5.

Black Cotehardie is: STR +3, DEX +2, VIT -2, AGI +3, INT +2, MND -3, CHR -3, HP -> MP: 25

AF hat: MP +25, INT +4, Enmity -4

So basically +24 MP, +4 INT, 5 Skill vs. +50 MP, +6 INT, -4 Enmity

I think it depends o nthe mob you are fighting, if it's a mob several levels above you, I'd go with the Shaman's Cloak for the elemental skill, like the BLM in my static does, 'cause wre fight mobs like 3 levels before we should =P (NIN+BRD)

But in a "normal" party, where you'd rarely get resisted, I'd go with the INT and enmity-.

I simply like the more MP and -enmity better. I am in full AF and plan to take that all the way to 70ish for the Errant line of armor. I plan on skipping the Black Cloak altogether.

Shaman's Cloak all the way. If your with a bad NIN, then maybe use the AF for the -enmity. Macro the AF body into your Enfeebling spells.

AT 68 the Black Cloak is absolutely great. The AF pales in comparison. Errant isn't that good except for resting, usually the +Elemental Magic will give you more damage output, as well as MP Refresh.

Shaman's for normal nukes.
AF body + hat for enfeebling.
Black Cotehardie + AF hat for MBing.

I've been thinking of getting Justacrops+1 when i am able to wear it for nuking, since i am taru, i would rather wear that then a cotehardie, unless it was a flora cotehardie, only thing that sucks is the look of the justacorps. :(

I use the AF hat and body myself. Plus healer's earring and peace ring. Generally, I don't see much resist even when fighting IT++. Especially after getting my HQ staves. Last night I saw 2 resists out of 3 hours of exping, and that was when I used a weaker element by mistake..


I generally perfer -enimity myself, because they let me nuke more without taking aggro.
