Stone Gorget?

Hey all.. saw that this gorget was added in the patch.. on Somepage it says that it is rare/ex but doesn't list how to get it.

Anyone figure this out yet... I assume it is some quest or NM drop ... hope we can figure this out.. as a RDM I would love to find out how good the "enhances stoneskin" effet is.

Yea... not sure.. that is why I am trying to find out if anyone knows anything on this... I think it would make RDM even pimpier when we solo.

I would hope that it enhances the amount of dmg stoneskin absorbs... sounds really great... well.. depending on what and how much it enhances...

Hence .. why I want one to test it and use it...

Oh .. here is what I know about is so far..

The Def of 4 on a neck piece is pretty nice too.. so that should also make stoneskin last longer by having a higer def hence less dmg from mobs...

I have looked at like every FFXI site I can find.. they show it .. and no additional information..

I really want to try it out though...

Did you actally get the item? If so have you tried it out.. is it worth getting?

I'll have to check out that NPC tonight and see if I can get the quest ... or if there is some other pre-req that I have not done yet.

I think what he means is that you trade the recollection of anxiety to the NPC, but how to get the recollection of anxiety is still a mysterious. Please tell me if I am wrong

yeah, i got that info from the item section of mystery tour. I have no idea where the recollection comes from :(

Hmm.. yea I found the NPC and all he did was mumble about emptiness or something.. didn't give me a quest or anything...

I'm lvl 57... and my fame in Jeuno says "You have emerged as a hero to the people of Jeuno....." so I don't think it is either of those...

Must be some pre-req.... or like the Mog exit quests where you don't really get a quest.. you just trade the item? ... well at least we are moving along.

Please post any other stuff you guys find and I'll do the same... I'd like to get this ...

The only reason I have to believe this is that if this is the guy i think it is (black cloak dude) he is the one you give the 3 recollections, fear, pain, and guilt, to make the animas. I would best assume that, through his cryptic clue of "bring other recollections you may find here as well," that this is our mystery recollection, and that all we have to do is trade it to him.

As a fyi, I have completed all 3 promyvions and have gotten this message.... not sure if you need to or not.

Perhaps it drops from one of the new ENM battles in Promyvion? Or perhaps in Promyvion-Vahzl? I don't recall any stupendously difficult enemies in Vahzl, but also haven't done much to explore that zone besides doing the mission there.

Ahh.. I haven't done any of the Promyvion missions yet... maybe that is why you are seeing more than I am. I guess I'll have to make some time to get those done if that is requried to get the item.

For some reason, I've got a hunch it has something to do with these guys:

The Promyvion NMs.. So far we know that they drop remnants but no one can figure out what to do with them. The current idea is to collect them all and trade them to memory fluxes, but we really have no idea.

What's behind the memory flux anyway? It's not for getting the map.. You get that from the ???'s around promy.

Actually, if is known what to do with them. On each floor of Vahzl, there is a ??? that when clicked mentions that it is the scattered remains of one of those NMs. If you trade the proper remnant to the ???, it spawns another NM. At which point the folks who discovered this were beaten down. So its unknown what those NMs drop at this time.

Can you get a bit more information from your LS mate? .. Like what item(s) you must get... that sort of stuf.. I looked at some info ont his area and all I can find is the rewards .. which the gorget is not listed as one ...

I'm actually a bit more interested in wether it is worth it compared to equipping something that +MND or something that +Enhancing Magic for the neck

Well I am wanting this for when I solo... I don't think a +MND or +Enhancing would do much good for solo...

Well that is if you aren't fighting something in particular that would need one of those or some other + attribute. I just figure if StoneSkin can absorb more dmg.. that is just the harder the mob I could fight solo...

More wanting it to test than anything really..

Wow great info on StoneSkin.. I never knew MND effected it so much... interesting...

You learn something about this game everyday.. at least I do ....

Really what I want to test though is how much this gorget effects the amount of dmg which stoneskin absorbs... the "Enhances Stoneskin" effect... I didn't see that in that post.. unless I am blind...

Actually, I wonder if you can probably take the best of both world. Swap in +MND or Enhancing when you start the cast to get a Stoneskin with more "HP", then swap this gear in during Stoneskin. I guess it's all depends on what "Enhance Stoneskin" do. Does it make stoneskin absorb less damage? or does it just affect the "HP" buffer when you first cast it?

Anyone got this yet or know what "Enhance Stoneskin" mean?

Oh that is a good poitn as well. Does the "Enhances Stoneskin" apply at the moment of casting or while Stoneskin is on. That's interesting ^^

Well I think the mystery is now gone... but not sure I'll get this anytime soon...

Here is the info I have been able to find now.

1) Kill Satiator NM in Promyvion - Dem and get a "Satiator Remnant" to drop.. not sure if 100% or not.

2) Kill Provoker NM in Promyvion - Vahzl and get a "Recollection of Anxiety" again not sure if it is a 100% drop or not.

finally trade the "Recollection of Anxeity" to Harith [H-5] in Ru'Lude Gardens and he should give you the gorget.

Now .. just to get people to help get all this done :(
