Black mages etc.

Do Black Mages only have destruction spells and use weapons ? or do they have some sort of buffs or anything and does a trip from bastok to windurst on an airship or ship (not sure if it does all the way there* cheap enough in Gil so someone would pay another a ride there^_^ ?

Okay. I don't quite understand your questions, but I'll try to do a blanket answer. Blage Mages basically only have destructive spells (and can melee attack a little); to get healing spells or good physical damge, you'll need a good sub-job for that. Ship and airships are quite expensive so you'll have to walk between cities for the first few weeks of playing.
