Rogue's Ring, what's the trigger?

Im planning on hitting 50 and heading back to Bibiki Bay to steal Gold Beastcoins. I bought me one of these rings knowing what that it has a Latent Effect. Does anyone know what the trigger is?

Supposedly yellow hitpoints, but steal+3 is rather difficult to reliably test (I can't say I really notice much of a difference with +3 steal from AF than with +0).

Gold beastcoins are really tough to nab. Regular, silver and mythril beastcoins all seemed to have about a 50/50 steal rate (maybe higher), but with gold I'm generally about 1 in 5 on successes. That's 16k or so an hour...I think there's easier ways to make money.

All the lvl 50 job specific rings trigger on yellow hp.

From what I've understood the Level 50 Latent Effect Rings all trigger on having orange HP ( :sweat: ) and less than 100 TP. Not exactly the best thing to be pissing off level 70 gobs with!

Last I tried the whm lvl 50 ring I needed <75% hp which includes yellow, orange, and red for it to kick in. I believe ApplePie used one of the lvl 50 job rings during his soloing of mission 6-1 against the skele as a rdm and he tried to keep himself at yellow hp. Been awhile since I looked at them closely though. I remember using one during my Maat fight and it kicked in while in yellow hp.

On mythril mobs I have ~60% success.

I've only tried this with Yagudo Conquistadors/Lutenists/Zealots/Priors, but....if you know somebody with one, try borrowing a wind staff sometime for stealing.

I actually recorded a 75% success rate there with one equipped. No luck on Maat with it yet though. :sweat:
