If your friends bought you gil...

1) Drop it?

2) Return it?

3) Use it?

Most of my friends don't play FFXI, most of them play other MMORPGS (DAoC, WoW, Ragnarok Online), but I don't know if I would necessarily get gil or not. If this happened to you, what would you do about it? (Note: I havn't received any gil from my friends yet *hint hint* :sweat: j/k :biggrin: )

also, this is assuming you don't get caught and get banned lol!

Problem with this is that, you MAY not even know that they sent you gil as a present. You may just wonder why you got the gil from, because all it will say is that you have received <amount> of gil from <person>.

If your friend wanted to give you his earned gil, would you say the same thing? You didn't earn it, but if he wants to give it to you why not?

Gil comes from all kinds of shady areas; buying it, stealing peoples NMs, stealing gil from HNM ls's *cough*, over farming NMs/etc. There's no judging which portion of what gil someone might give you is honestly earned gil, so I say, if someone wants to give you gil, you're not doing anything wrong so just take it.

Normally, I'd use it to my advantage. It's not every day you'd get one such as that. Might as well use it. I don't support gil-sellers, however.
