RedMage/Ninja?

hi, im planning on starting playing FF11 (again) just after christmas, i had a red mage last time i played and was wondering whats with Redmages/Ninjas? When i told everyone told me to use either whitemage or blackmage as a sub, so what are the advantages of using ninja as a sub? (besides looking super freakin cool with 2 swords)

A Ninja subjob is great for solo play, at a high level you can solo almost anything with it. However it brings nothing to a party, then you should sub a mage job instead.
