Easy Question

When using a weapon or gear to cast a spell and get effects you only need the gear equiped at the start of the spell correct?

EX.

/equip main Ice Staff
/ma Paralyze <stnpc>
/equip main Hornet Needle
/equip Balance Buckler

I would still get the boost from the ice staff correct?

I -think- that once the actual casting animation occurs is when it's decided, and when it factors in your equips. In that case, I'm not sure if your macro would account for the Ice Staff.

The stats and equipment your spells take into account are those that are in place when the casting meter reaches 100%.

/ma "Cure" <me>
/equip main "Light Staff"

If you get the curing bonous then that means the weapon effect takes effect when the spellcasting bar hits 100%

It's better for you to acctually experiement mainly because I found out that if I found out most stuff the hard way, I tend to remember them forever

I didn't have a Light Staff or I would have tested it, I was testing with my Staves and Rings.
