View Full Version : Any Spells not Worth It?

Hey, I was told by a few people that for RDM these certain spells werent really worth getting, only problem is they couldnt remember the name and said to ask some other people. Hope you can help me out.

I think they meant as in a whole group wasnt worth it. I dont think it was the EN- spells but something else, thanks.

Probably the Bar- spells. They are only helpful versus certain enemies and only helpful to yourself. I've seen the Elemental bar spells make a difference, but the bar-status results are hard to see.

bar-status spells shortens the length of time the debuff lasts.
some are less important than others...

get barpetrify, there's many times i've regretted not having this spell...

No seriously...a lot of the Bar-status suck even with Enhancing capped....Barsleep, looking at you

Yeah but sometimes you DONT wanna take it off lol

Note: but in a fight (Shiva...) if you're too close and you'll get slept, and if you dont have poison on you and you tank is the only one alive..the PT is pretty much screwed

Barpetrify is a joke. I remember a rdm making a thread all about it a month or so ago. A couple min petrify becomes like 1 min and 59 seconds, its an abosulte waste. I can't tell any different when I tried it in dynamsis bastok against the aoe petrify's, everyone wore off at the same time.

I was missing some of the bar-status spells for a long while but finally decided to just get them. Not sure why but just feel kinda not complete when I'm missing spells. Same way for blm, i know im never gonna use quake but I'd like to get it just so i can say I have all my spells.
