Didn't use my 2 hour, was hoping I didn't have to use the Vile Elixir, but it saved my ass. I almost lost to him because of a stupid /tell. ~.~

congrats.. i didn't really look into how it works, but i thought it only takes 3 vorpals to kill him?? did you miss your 3rd?

Yeah I run my screen in high resolution. Good luck reading the chat log if you watch the low resolution version of the video. That one is shrunken and compressed, and the text is just not readable. The high resolution version of the video is much more readable.

I didn't miss any of my WS. They all connected. If the qualifications for beating Maat include 3 WS, then whoever claimed that is wrong. I did four Vorpal Blades. I had to delay firing off #3 because Maat used Invincible.

Yep, I finished watching the Video yesterday and man, you lucked out, cause of that blind tell towards the end. Almost cost you the match. I didn't know tells can fuck up your macro's like that, especially in an intense battle. Anyways, good showing Kurg, and has anyone tested Rugal's way yet?? I think he said Spinning Slash is a dominator :D, I wonder if that does work. And also, is it possible to do a self Light/Dark Renkei by yourself on Maat (assuming you have time)??

Well done. My first attempt was hell on earth, the cards just didnt fall in my favor. I was Fully prepared and followed the necessary strategy flawlessly. I was excited because I was pretty much eating his lunch. When he had a little over 1/3 of his HP left,he unleashed an unholy combo... invincible, asuran fists. This surprisingly didnt kill me, but it severely turned the tide in the old man's favor. I tried to salvage the mess by using invincible myself, and before my vile elixer reached 100% on the activation bar, I see "Milon was defeated by Maat"-_-. Twas a Banish III that finished me.


Anyway the past is history...ive got my second testimony ready and I've got a more than minute longing for revenge. I actually want him to give me another asuran fists... I will be ready this time and it shall make the coup de grace I give him feel all the more sweeter. Your days are numbered, old man.

*Update* Fought the old master again last night and it was quite a convincing victory. I was quite surprised that he did not use a WS the whole battle. My HP did not fall below 500 throughout the entire confrontation. Bottom line to beating him is to come prepared. I used about 7 Hi-pots,4 sleeping pots,a vile elixir, 2 yagudo drinks,an icarus wing,and a meat chiefkabob.

My equips were gallant gear,general's shield,opo-opo necklace,life belt,espadon,chrysoberyl rings,and pidgeon earrings. Also ive read strategy to run out of attack range when he uses invincible,i stood my ground and did fine,so i dont believe this method is necessary.

Best of luck to anybody that needs to do this in the near future, its a thriller of a battle...but victory is sure to those that are ready :)

Haha, i remember my maat fight... I did some pretty blondish things in there like forgetting to cast protect IV and shell on myself, delaying the use of the icarus wing till i really didn't need to use it lol, let my hp go down to 1, snarfed 9 hi-potions as fast as possible, and survived the ordeal.
I have a video of it, it's about 32megs, 10 1/2 minutes long (fight was ~7 1/2 minutes), but nowhere to host it lol. Basically it shows just how poorly you can perform and still beat Maat :sweat:.

My time with Maat is nigh. I am planning on reaching 70 in the next couple of days and then I will put Maat out of his misery.

I am going to use my ultra sexy Assault Jerkin just to humiliate Maat even more. ;)

Double post but this is after my Maat fight.
One word:

VICTORY!

But sadly I do not have a video to share. I turned it on just as I was about to start the fight and I got huge lag so I had to turn it off. :(

The fight was actually harder than expected.
I had the following key items equiped:
- Amemet Mantle+1
- Ocean Sash
- Espadon+1
- Assault Jerkin
- Tiger Ring x2
So I was pretty heavily decked out on Attack+ gear.

I get TP to 100% using sleep potions then ate my Mithkabob and ran in. As soon as I hit him I started spamming Vorpal Blade. I was extremely unlucky because the instant I hit him he used Flash and made me totally miss Vorpal Blade. D:

In the end I ended up doing 4 Vorpal Blades and he STILL refused to go down.
I used up all 5 Hi-Potions and my Vile Elixir and had 21 MP left with exactly 240 HP left. I was sure I was doomed.
Then Maat did Howling Fist for... 236 damage... I had 4...FOUR HP left... and then... I do a critical hit for 100 damage...and I win. HAHA I couldn't believe it... what luck!

works fine for me, ... still haveing trouble with my maat fight, though im hoping that i dont get some junk problems i had last time with getting unlucky and getting interupted more and more. i had a hard time getting things to go off, like maat would hit me always. Interupt everything i was trying to do, I am hopeing for the next battle to be asubrly easy since i have been getting most of my recent PLD Tests too easly. the last 3 i got i only killed 4 PLD mobs total in that time.

Ran into QSC killing the hardest normal mob with my 75 SMN/whm friend. I was set up as 70 PLD/thf(26) and it would mostliteraly feel like it would drop off the first mob killed.
Enterd QSC at the Far southwest entrance of west-altep. I hope that helps people with thier drops if they have thf leveld and try it. I wonder if this is a gaurnted drop or something cause ... didnt have a single problem with the PLD mob pop right there first thing you see.

yeah, not too much in this section for maat fights outside of a tarudin and maat. Been haveing trouble of my own, and i am gona go at a 7th battle here shortly, gota aford more suplies. This topic though helped me analize what i can to enhance my chances.

so i went into my maat fight and it just happend to feel like maat wen AFK in my fight, ... He started unusual with a banish II. I used just potions and other cheep items and saved my good ones for whne he would JACK me up with his asurafist and stuff. Well i kept myself at 900 HP+ and did what i could. Before i knew it, the battle was over, and maat didnt use any WS or his 2hour. He hardly flashed me. I didnt even 2 hour or use any vile elixer/+1 or even my iccuras wing. it was a 8 min battle that started off with sleeping to 100 TP.

Like i said, i swear he felt bad for me and went afk.
