Most of the other trigger NM's seem to be around 3-6 hours or so but these guys seem to be longer. Anyone have any clue how long these guys take to respawn? And the ??? for Curtana, any idea on that one?

They seem longer because they're the only two that are pure lottery as opposed to 4-6 hour respawns or force pops. For the record I fucking hate hunting Steam Cleaner.
Curtana is 2 hour repop I believe.

pretty sure all triggers are 3-6 hours
Atleast this is from personal hunting experience (everyday o.o)

Hmmm. Ullikummi dosen't seem like 3-6 hours cause I've been there for exp over 6 hours many times and never seen him pop. Maybe cause he's lottery? but with steam, if hes up we always seem to get him 1st or 2nd time. Ulli is a pain in the rear.

Get one...put in storage...conveniently "forget" to get it repeatedly so someone else has to go ;x

Sadly I'm the linkshell leader and sometimes I feel I can't trust people to do things like that lol
I always thought the curtana was 6 hours.

Steam Cleaner is easy to pop, just send a NIN or /NIN (at 74) to with a mage to go get a detector, drag it to the entrance, and just have the NIN run in and out with the mage healing them as needed outside, Caretakers will despawn almost immediatly, but Steam Cleaner won't until it's reached the bottom, but anyway, once Steam CLeaner pops, just have the NIN keep aggroing it until everyone else (who is hopefully in sky hunting other stuff) comes to kill it.

Steam is easy.
have a RNG shadowbind a detector, then invis and run back to stairs.
then just kill caretakers and sleep the detector.
The Detector will keep summoning caretakers and eventually Steam, no need to kill the detector at all.
Almost always pops in 3-4 summons.

We've watched the zone for 6 hours prior with 0 people in it, and ended up camping Steam for 8 hours after that. No pop. Is there anyone who keeps solid track and goes to camp god items every time and watches zone at all times every day of the week that can post their results? Anytime I see a steam post there's a bunch of people claiming oh yeah pops all the time easy 10 minutes never been longer always pops forever and ever seiryu=pwnt, and then a bunch of other people who can't spawn it if their lives depended on it. My LS has tried both ways, directly fighting the caretakers and sleeping detector, and running detectors to zone back and forth etc.
My LS can't be in the wrong spot, because we've gotten steam three times, but that's three times and no lie, weeks spent trying to pop Steam. I know another LS on our server had this problem too a while back but not sure now.

On our asura server a few months back Steam Cleaner was bugged and wouldnt pop at all. I guess one of the japanese LS's camped him for 12 hours straight and he finally showed up, he seems to be fixed now though.

He was bugged on all servers from what ive heard.
That said to my knowlege in the last few weeks my LS has had no problems spawning Steam Cleaner when we actually care to go after him for spawn items.
Usually after about what Faranim said.

Last night we couldnt pop him for the life of us, we were fighting the first detectors that popped. We moved to one of the ones in the basement and he popped within the second summon.

That has happened to us twice now so we always drag a Detector into the basement and do the sleep and repop method in there. It means we have to take care of two Pot repops every sixteen minutes but that should never be a problem.
I don't know if it was part of the "bug" but the last time we went for Steam Cleaner the Detectors were resisting sleep massively. Anyone else get this?

Not really any trouble sleeping, didn't even need ES

I never said it was difficult to pop. Just that sometimes he just doesn't feel like popping even if hes in the lot.

Can I ask one stupid question? Which part of the map is consider basement? I don't have a map and I’m so confused in there.
Depending on which side you entered from, there are 2 routes you can take, 1 heads down a flight of stairs - down there is the basement the detectors that Steam Cleaner pops off are.

Perhaps you aren't aware that Steam Cleaner can only be summoned by a Detector from the basement?
Using the one right at the entrance will never work. Just kill that one and send a RNG to bind one from the basement.

Does anyone know the new respawn time for Ullikummi since the update on July 24th? Please?

Huh?
Didn't SE said they changed it so that Ulli will appear in "alternative manner." In other words, Ulli isn't lottery pop anymore. You people in sky need to figure out how to pop it.

I think they just changed it so that Ulli pops anywhere in the room instead of in one place. So, not that big of a change, and most definitely not a force pop of any kind.
Unless someone else has heard different.

Baby Jesus is kind of a crybaby, if the internets are any indication. :P
Creating a new thread vs. bumping an old one on the same topic? Tough call. For as simple a question as this, bumping was probably better. But from 2004? That's a bit much.
Anyway!

How did someone even find a 2004 post in the General section?
Don't tell me someone used the Search function! I won't believe it!!!

I have my doubts as well. ^^;

I could've sworn Ulli did pop anywhere in that room. Did they change the condition of the pop from lottery to every so many hours then?

Ullis placeholders were always the two statues between the pillars - that was the only place Ulli could pop. Now is appears it can pop anywhere in the room, so we assume that it is totally random lottery from any of the 10.
Pop time is still retarded though.... go go 6 hours killing stuff to have Ulli stolen from you.
