Hmm I'm a level 50 pld been stuck for a while cuz my lots suck at papy and I need to farm all my gear but any way, I'm just looking down the line and it seems that the next few levels are just going to be the same thing and I'm just wondering what did other pld's look foward at this level other then af because I see my self like right when I get to 60 I might quit pld because I don't really have any thing else to look foward to.
I dunno I don't think ramparts that bad ass so I just wonder what made you guys keep moving after 60

Had the same problem at 51, took a month break leveled war to 45, went back to pld, 50-52 takes some time and gets on your nerves but now AF is coming, I had 3 of mine already and im leveling real fast, plus HNMs Koenig and those goodies are whats pulling me back in, trust me only rngs and blm are true dmg and you'll never qunech your thirst as a melee in damage =/
my advice is just level another job and take a break, refreshes the job and its not as tedious but more fun, also my new shiny Gluttony sword really excited me

yeah I was thinking of doing that I don't mind farming much so I was thinking making a ranger also to off set the teduim of tanking and then I would have fun of both worlds defense and dmg :)

Paladin: The only job that considers taking shots to the head from bigger monsters as something to look forward to.

What kept me going at 50...the thought of being a taru with full PLD AF and working for my hate when a BLM MB's with Freeze or RNG uses Sidewinder.

This is for the topic starter; I would suggest you reconsider your decison. Paladin MAY BE the most amusing Job out there. I've tried mostly all others jobs and they are mediocre, at best, accoridng my opinion. But we can't, PLDs, can't survive without the others jobs.
Around level 50, I, too, took a break from PLD and started NIN and raised it to lv 15 and then my path to a Knightly Tank. From level 50 to level 60, it has been painful and very amusing. the AFs can be brutal IF you don't appreaciate it. I didn't and had to endure 10 levels of excruciating pain. But at level 60, look forward to the best times of your Tank life. Rampart is given at level 62, Vorpal Blade at level 60 and knowloedge that your DDs, especially RNG and BLMs, will deliver that painful blow to the mob while you Tank away at it. Basicly the good times are ahead of you. Just endure level 50-60 and you should be home free.
P.S. As someone posted before me, level 70+ are THE best of all levels because you Tank HNMs and get Adaman, Relic AFs along with Koening *drools* ...oops lost myself there for a second. Basicly what I'm saying is, just stick with a class you've held onto for 50 levels. This shows you love it and have potentiel to carry onto level 75...
