In order of importance, which should I get by 65 first. I am very poor atm, while I can farm kinda good at this new spot i go to(20K in 2-3 hours), I dont have much time to farm. Either way which one should I get first:
Elemental Torque vs Fire Staff AND Thunder Staff.
BLM61/RDM30
(Sorry for misspellings, VERY tired for some reason)

Elemental Torque, the staves can wait. And they're all going down in price too :D

I'm in agreement being the upper level BLM equipment guru that I am. :p Those staves just keep dropping, so waiting should only make them cheaper.

It's a tossup, imo. You'd make a good choice either way you went. The +7 elemental skill will help all your spells land better, but for the next few levels, the majority of what you cast will be Ice/Thunder/Fire spells, so having those 3 staves will make a bigger improvement in your landing rate (I assume you already have an ice staff, and you'd buy the other 2 as you stated).
Then again, Midg and CarbonFibre make a good point. The staves are on a steady plunge downward (unless you're on midgardsormr >_<), so holding off on buying them is also probably a good call. I didn't care, and as such, I've lost somewhere in the vicinity of 800k-1million gil on the staves I bought months ago. With the amount of money I *lost*, I could've bought just about all the gear that I'm now missing. Oh well, that's the price you pay for buying the right gear at the wrong time.
Anyways, I don't think anyone will look down on you for making either choice. Go with whatever you feel will help you best - if you're only casting Ice/Fire/Thunder, get the staves. If you're mixing it up more than that, get the Torque. Up to you man.

try getting a good pt of LSmates, friends, or a static if you have one to do a BCNM60 in Chamber of Oracles. Ants are a simple fight if you have Sleepga 2. Drops Elemental Torque. If you need any strats post after and i'll give you some more details ^^.

yes plz, i need stats on a good BCNM 60 i can do as a blm
Srry to go off topic but...
I am only level 50 right now, and i have a nice BCNM 30 my blk does and my rng does a BCNM 40, but i need a bcnm 60 to do because im leveling really fast (3 weeks ago i was level 10 blm, no joke, it took me 3 months to get rng/nin to 40)
you might get an earth staff too, since for the next 2 or 3 levels you'll be fighting toramas if i remember correctly :x

BCNM 60 Moon Orb Chamber of Oracles
directions ripped from Alla's ZM6 thread:
From West Altepa, go to D-12 to enter a hidden cave, then keep going and enter Quicksand Caves at C-11. Once inside, go to E-7. Note that there's a circular pattern that you have to stand on to. Have either 1 galka or 2 of any other race stand on the smaller circle to open the door. After going through keep going west and fall down the pit. Then keep going north to zone to the Chamber of Oracles
Once there you'll be fighting 4 Anticans. BLM is essential for Sleepga 2. My pt layout was Pld, mnk, rng, blm, rdm, whm. Its absolutely essential all MP users bring at least 3 Echo drops per fight.
A note: Its generally a very bad idea to go on Earthsday and Lightsday. Ants are earth based, their resistance are increased on Earthsday, and Sleep is a Dark spell. Try to go on any day but that, especially Winds and Light.
Retiarius>>Centurio>Secutor>Hoplomashus
which is blm > rng > war > pld
ES Sleepga 2 on the middle mob to open. Silence the blm then begin. The blm in your PT should be using AF for enfeebling + and - enemity. If possible, have your rdm assist with Sleep 2, and gravity / bind the war and pld while they sleep. Casting Dispel on the pld to take his shell of helps Sleep stick longer as well. Always keep Stoneskin and Blink up after a sleep. Blm dosen't nuke, only watches the mobs, reapplys SS and blink, Aspirs the pld, and maybe drain the current target if he gets a stray hit.
Other than that its simple and nothing extraordinary. Make sure the blm is silence at all times. To be safe your whm and blm might want to bring poison potions, because if its not Silence, Retiarius likes to open with Sleepga of his own.
Once blm falls, kill the rng, keep the tank above 800 or so to survive a bad Eagle Eye Shot.
After this fight, keep sleeping the others and rest if need be. Watch pld, he likes to wake up early, but he usually just casts a Banish spell before you can get him back to sleep, Again, gravity and bind help a lot, Stoneskin and blink are neccesary.
During the War fight, be prepared to sleep the mob if neccesary during its 2hr, but we never had much of a problem, he takes a little bit longer, but its easy.
Once its just the pld, you have it in the bad. Just rest for enough MP, and begin wailing on him. Silence Aspir, etc. The blm can begin to nuke now and finish the fight quick.
After you win, open your chest and hope to god you got a Elemental Torque :P.
i believe this is everything, if i forgot something i'll come back and edit. I'll be glad to answer any more questions. Good luck! :)

Oh, my, this is wrong...
Order is "CRSH".. think "CRuSH"... for RNG, BLM, WAR, PLD.
'RSCH' is BLM, WAR, RNG, PLD...
It's debatable whether to do BLM or RNG first... we always do RNG... but you shouldn't leave the RNG to the 3rd spot, and your labelling is off, so someone would attack Secutor and think he's a RNG instead of a WAR....
Verify the names at Mysterytour.

It doesn't cost a lot of gil for nothing, it's a very rare drop...

Yes changed, sorry, had Centurio and Secutor mixed up. I still feel its most important to kill blm first, if he wakes up, all hell can break loose. I took a couple of pop shots from Centurio on my runs, they aren't anything too bad, a few shots i could handle until i got it sleeping again.

I AM on Midgardsormr ^^;. (I got to add that to my sig...)
Anyway, yes of course I have Ice Staff. I am only cast Blizzard/Thunder/Fire... with the only expection being Water on Goblins or Orcs.
Thank you very much for that guide... but
I am a BLM/RDM(no stoneskin at 60) but I can do it with a SMN. If we do it, our party will look like this:
BLM/RDM SMN/WHM RDM/BLM MNK/WAR RNG/WAR <Tank Unknown>(probably PLD/WAR or WAR/NIN)
think we can win?
(Thank you for the replies)

No Stoneskin eh? hmm.
I suppose it could be done, but you'll want to bring some Hipotions with you as backup. You'll have a lot less margin for error. Make sure you utilize your Gravity well on the mobs you sleep.
As for smn/whm, thats a big risk. Make sure you bring Pld/war for your tank, because with only Cure IIIs, your margin for error is big, and if a War/nin is caught without shadows, your gonna be scrambling to heal a lot of MP. You won't be getting much time to Use Blood Pacts, so count those out of a regular rotation. Just gotta be careful again. Tank defiantely needs Hi Potions too with a smn/whm.
Yes its doable, but your adding unneccesary risk. However if its all you can do, then all means try, but expect it to be slightly more difficult, and to be a lot more careful. God Speed.
i've never done that bcnm60, but i hear it's quite a bit easier than the one with giants in fei`yin which i'm quite good at now.
if it's anything like zm6 i'd kill the ranger towards the end as he likes to EES and killed our level 70 drk in 1 shot when we did zm6.
and level your whm sub up. whm is a much better exp party sub with -na spells and curagas. i have them both at 37 and i have never had a party ask for rdm over whm sub. it adds so much to the blm job.

My view is... I am always partied with a RDM or BRD and a WHM or SMN... do I really need to heal... and if I do, is it some thing more than Cure II/III can do? If so, I think the party isnt too great and I will be looking for a replacement once I realize this.
I do think I should level WHM to at least 30, one of these days(probably for a CoP mission or if I see WHM sub does help a lot over RDM in BCNM60s), but I am not exactly the kind of person who has that time to spare. My LS(DarkSEED) wants me to get to 75(not forced, I want to also) as it does with other members so we can start doing stuff and slowly become a HNM LS(like Midgardsormr didnt have enough :P)
Anyway to the point, how is the Gigas BCNM. I have found zippo info.
