Paladin/Archer Jobs

I was thinking about making a Paladin/Archer, and it hit me!!
How would you start off? You need to first start off with a low level job for example, a warrior or a monk...something like that right?

Then you have to complete a certain quest to be able to use high level jobs like Paladin, Dark Knight, Archer...etc

So, would it be too late if I started leveling up lets say a spear weapon, then after I got the Paladin and Archer job ability get to a Spear Paladin and high level Bow level?

paladins need to be hit, I dont know if your bow damage would be high enough for you to get hit, cause or else just consider a ranger/theif or something in that line if you want bows, or one of the many melee if you want melee

paladins are mostly for defensive purposes... so, a ranger with defense isnt gonna do you much good, since u'll be miles away (well, not miles, but you get the point :p) from the enemy you're attacking with the bow/gun

Yeah I see what you mean :mad: but I really wanted a damned PallyArcher! >_< Oh well, how does a Pally Red Mage sound?

Any troubles you think would have with that?

You really can be whatever you want to be........

But there are prefered SubJobs for every job.....I am a PLD and there really isn't anyway that I would get into PT's without a WAR as my subjob......WAR has taunt and PLD has high defense...so it is nesessary to have WAR because i can get the enemy off other players who it is more likely to do more damage to. If you are going for PLD make sure you have a WAR SJ when you are PT'ing.
Aside from PT'ing you can have whatever SJ it is that you want.

I was thinking PAL/WAR also, but just to get something straight. For instance I would have to start off leveling my WAR Job befor being a PAL, but then my PAL job would still be lower then my WAR job which enerves me, thats why I'm starting to get the doubt on wether I should pick WAR/PAL or RM/PAL.

What do you think ?

for War. Mostly you can sub anything with it. usually people will sub mnk(less popular, i also think to change my war sub), thf, drk, pld, whm, rdm.....

for Rdm, you willl need to prepare several sub besides what you want to sub, like whm and blm, becoz sometimes your PT will want you to be a support. (how bout brd sub? )

and those above are for PT.... you can do what ever you want when you soloing ;)
