DD WAR. Subjob questions 55-60

Hello there.

I used to be the main tank in my static PT, but as some members quit FFXI, we now have a NIN/WAR as a main tank.

I'm wondering whether I should keep using /NIN dual wielding axe+sword or switch to /THF with Greataxe to have a maximum damage output.

What's the other DD? It mainly depends on the SC.

IMO, /NIN and rampage is best until 60. Then Raging Rush at 60+. However, it's best to go with your parties strength points instead of your own.

My static was:
SAM/RNG
DRG/WAR
WAR/NIN
BRD/WHM
BLM/RDM
WHM/SMN

Now, we have
SAM/RNG
DRG/WAR
WAR/NIN
BRD/WHM
NIN/WAR
WHM/BLM

So no revolution, only me switching from main tank to DD/emergency tank.

What you choose to weild almost always depends on who your partners in SC is and what you will be fighting. For example, pre-65/66 PTing with a monk, you will almost always be using 1h-axe and subbing NIN for Howling >> Rampage.

The inclusion of a SAM in your PT makes things a bit unique. He'll be able to SC with both you and the DRG. Since SAM's WSes are almost everywhere in the SC chart, you can use either rampage or raging rush. If your NIN has trouble keeping hate, you can sub THF and TA-Raging Rush onto him.
