I've been intending to level my whm up now for a while simply because I want the ability to be able to sneak and invis myself while doing quests and coffer hunts. However, the problem I have is I never really levelled my mage jobs early on and now I'm in the position where I need to level my blm, currently level 6, before I can start on my whm. I'm just wondering what people did regarding this. Basically did you correctly level your blm sub or just use an underlevelled sub so you could speed level the whm to 25?

My whm is currently level 12.

For taking whm to 25 people aren't picky, most will bow down and worship you just to have a whm 10-25. Sub pld or your lvl 6 blm sub, it won't hurt much, just looks bad. At those lvls you aren't missing any important abilities and the mp differences aren't that bad. If you could get blm to 10 you would be perfectly fine taking whm to 25.

I really wish more people put the effort into getting whm up to 25 or blm to 17 to help them get around while questing. :sweat:

Got WHM to level 26 using level 8 BLM sub.
Then got BLM to 17.
Then took WHM to 28 for Stoneskin and that's about it.

Agreed. Even more when WHM is practically the easiest job to level to 25, and its quite cheap too.

I sometimes wonder if /rdm would be better for the simple fact I'd get the spike and ent line spells as well as sneak and invis.

Please, please, for the sake of unsanity, don't go into an exp party, no matter what level, with an underlevelled subjob. -_- Anyone with an advanced job should know better. >_<

bah, he's only taking it to level 25. the other poster is right, most pt's are happy to just get a freakin whm lvls 1-25.

HP:355 MP:164 STR:27 DEX:19 VIT:26 AGI:19 INT:19 MND:32 CHR:26

Not that I generally encourage absolute gimpness... but it's easier for a lv.65-70 person to farm to buy an astral ring (3-4 hours) and pie+1 to make up for the 30mp than to bother leveling another mage sub for a sub :p
