The first phase was.... the second one's constant AoE caught us all by surprise.... both the WHM and the SAM had to 2hr because we were so unprepared for it. :(

I forgot to mention our only DDs were a PLD and a SAM... the DRK went all the way to find out he hadn't activated 5-2 -_-

Is it true that the farther you are from his area attacks the more damage they do (second form)? That's what someone in my fight said. He told us to all crowd as close as possible when he form changed.

I don't think it does. I know that his AOE "Dark Nova" hits anyone in the area, so there's no point in running away. Btw: you'll enjoy soloing him when you're in ths 70s... duo'd it with a 42 RDM the other day. XD
