Techno Music in FFXI

I downloaded some of pings videos and i found them really interesting. Like "Party vs. Giant" To get to the point the in like the middle of the movie clip, the music was basically a remix of Vivis theme. So what im asking is if there is any other music that is related to some of the past Final Fantasy Games? Also why is the music in certain spots like techno music and in others they sound rather old? Does anyone understand what im asking???

I hear ya, I noticed the same thing.

Just thinking how big the land of Vana'diel is, and how different each enviroment is, I think it's great that they have all this different sort of music going on for the different places.

Could any importers tell us if you can have a tracklist of the music, and change it if you want? Is there a battle music, as it seems there is in Ping's videos? Can you change that?

I'm pretty sure that techno is just what he was playing on his desktop in the background, or he just added it to the videos later. There is no techno in XI and there's really nothing in the way of remixes either(other than the standard Crystal theme and the Victory music when you level up. Oh yeah, and the Chocobo theme). I don't have the game, but I have the soundtrack, so you can take my word for it.
