View Full Version : How do I take high-quality screen shots?

My game graphics setting are at their highest, but when I take a screen shot it comes out smaller then the image on my screen, and the quality is not the same as what I saw, when playing in quality or detail.

My question is what do I have to do to have my computer take proper pictures of what is appearing on the screen? Instead of these post card size pictures I'm being given?

Either FRAPS like GSD mentioned, SnagIt (my tool of choice) or clipper all work great.

If you have any version of Paint Shop Pro (version 5+) you could always use the capture feature of it. Set your capture button to F11 or something of the sort and tell it to "start captureing now." Then, in game, just press the button you assign to capture the screen in higher-quality. Just remember that after you're done with FFXI you'll have to go back into PSP and save each file (it doesn't automatically save, at least my version doesn't).

And keep all the pictures in memory eating up tons of resources? < Thanks for the offer but I'll have to pass> Unless it saves the pictures, but they would still be loaded in memory.
