Capping your weapons, skillup pt needed?

When I hit 38 I had capped Gaxe, but my Axe was lacking so i skilled it up in qufim till 80ish and then got it to 110 from lvl 39-42. now my axe is a higher skill but then my gaxe fell behind as well. my gaxe is 120 and axe 110, none are capped but still pretty high, how do you go about capped both higher levels?

Switch off back and forth.

I find it's hard to skill up weapons when you're leveling too quickly, so slow it down a bit. Once you cap one, swich to the other and cap that. It takes me about 10 or so fights to cap my skills.

I assume you understand that when you level your cap raises, so unless you have updated weapons with you the entire time, it'd be hard to cap them both.

Just wait until ~55 when you need 20k to level. It'll be easy to cap both weapons and sword when you need so much EXP to level. Also by that level, you'll be doing coffer key parties, which is a good chance to skill up axe/greataxe.
