NA Expansion?

Does anyone know that when they release Final Fantasy XI, will they also release the expansion pack, or will that come alittle later?

ask this question again in a few months and then mabye someone can give you a confirmed answer. Right now, it looks like NO, the expansion will not be released with the NA version. But this is just a guess. A very logical guess.

Maybe that's what's taking them so darn long. They want to translate the expansion and integrate it into the original game for the NA release. Or maybe the release of the expansion is holding up the NA version. It wouldn't make much sense for the JPN gamers to have access to the expansion and not the NA gamers since no translation is available yet.
Once FFXI is released in NA each subsequent expansion and/or patch release would have to be bilingual, with both language version being released simultaneously for it to fair to everyone. Since Visions is coming out on April 17, maybe they can't release FFXI (the original) here and still have an english version translated in time for April 17. Maybe what they are doing is waiting to translate Visions before they release the original so that they the english original and english Visions can be released either at the same time or in the same package, and further patches would be released simultaneously in both languages.

Or maybe they are just taking their bloody time because they feel like frustrating us.

understand this:

there is yet to be an NA version and why would do they send both the regular game and the expansion out at the same time?

if they even release the game to NA, they would want to generate money first.....

so the smart thing to do is release NA version ---wait a year then release the expansion thats how people make money

all game companies never release expansion and regular version out at the same time....think about it

Yeah, while I zap monsters with black magic and heal myself and others with white magic as a Red Mage, my Summoner sub-job will allow me to call in a GF and wipe the screen clean!
