I've seen screens of people that are attacking, but the screen is from the front. How can I get a screen of my character attacking and see his face and such? Is that even possible?

Hit "Switch Target", then Unlock from the target (Numpad *), but don't actually switch to a new target.

You will have full camera control.

One last question: How do I make the the resolution of the pics bigger? Is there a setting in game or on POL Viewer, or should I use an external program? I've seen SnagIt mentioned in the Screenshot Vault.

FFXI can only save in one resolution by design. In order to obtain higher quality screenshots, you will need to use a 3rd-party program such as FRAPs, Clipper, or SnagIt.

Use a higher Overlay Resolution.

Yeah, it's at 1280x1024, but the screens are still 640x480. I'm going to use SnagIt.

Here's a helpful hint:

Download and start Snagit and completely configure it however you like. Mine snaps an Active-X(Or something, it's in a premade option) pic with Scroll Lock.

Go into the shortcut's or StartUp shortcut's properties and add /h to the end. This will hide it from all view and have it run in the background. You wont even know it's there.

It should look a bit like this

"C:\Program Files\TechSmith\SnagIt 7\SnagIt32.exe" /h

It helps me out a lot.

Pushing * while in battle handles the de-locking part, but it does not give you back full camera control.

O.o; Weird, I only have to unlock the camera like Rai-Jin said, and I can control my camera fully already... (don't know the key, I use joypad)
