How do i obtain koenig?

just wanting info, how do i go about getting koenig? HNMs that drop the martial abjurations, how do i get the equips, or do i need to lvl up goldsmithing to make the armor since its RARE/EX?

You need to join a high level linkshell, that will help camp and then kill the HNMs that take 42+ hours to pop (with 21-24 hour intervals between chances), then hope the martial pieces that have around a 20% chance been dropped at any time, are dropped... then you get the RARE/EX abjurations, which are used to uncurse the pieces of armor so you can use them.

In otherwords, get to 75 first, then do missions and work on getting gil and other stuff.

Yeah, you have to be in an HNM linkshell that camp the HNM's that drop the specific Martial Abjuration. Once u obtain a specific martial abjuration (i.e. martial head, martial body, etc..) u have to acquire the matching cursed piece (i.e. martial head = cursed schaller). The cursed pieces are not rare/ex. U can either buy them from the AH or ask a high lvl goldsmith to craft it for you. Once u uncurse the cursed piece with the abjuration, then the item becomes Rare/Ex. For example:

Martial: Head (Rare/Ex) - drops from Seiryu

Cursed Schaller - can be crafted

Koenig Schaller (Rare/Ex) - after trading both pieces to NPC in the cathedral at Northern Sandy

All the big time KB killers on my server have said they have NEVER gotten Koenig Body from KB or Aspi, only Nidhogg.

And as for Fafnir dropping the boots, Good luck with that. My LS kills Fafnir *EVERYDAY* for the past 2-3Months, we have gotten 2 Ridills, 4 Balmungs, countless Zenith boots, Aegishalmrs, Hrotti's, hecacomb hats, about 4 Adaman Hands, and like 5 Wyrm beards from Fafnir....never once have we seen Koenig boots. Fafnir is also listed to drop abunch of Wyrmal/Crimson stuff, never seen any of it. I wouldnt belieave any of it. if he did drop all those items then his drops were changed awhille ago.

and in this time we managed to get Nidhogg 10/11times, 5 Adaman Hauberks, 2/3 Hecacomb Pants, 2 Koenig Bodies, and 1 Dalmatica.

What would u think would be more rare? those Boots or that many bodies?

That'd make the too easily ubtainable though. The ??? is only a 15 minute re-pop, and getting the pop items isn't THAT difficult (A hell of a lot better then waiting 3 days and having competition). And, other then Kirin, they all aren't very hard as long as your LS knows what they're doing.

Considering most abjurations are the equipment for most jobs, I already think getting the pieces is too easy.

Considering they nerfed the already easy Tu'Lia gods into fights that are impossible to lose (that counts Byakko too, god that used to be a fun fight)... No thanks.

Abjurations off Sky gods are not impressive, anyone can get them. Abjurs off real HNM, thats something that turns heads.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for an easier fight. If anything, it would be nice that they made the gods harder. Its the camping stuff every day of the week for hours waiting for an HNM to pop part that bothers me. :)
