New Cable Moden need help!

Ok, I have not been able to Play FFXI for about 2-3 weeks, I just got cable Internet yester day so I could play. When I put the new moden on my PS2 it worked grate I played for a Good 3 hours, Then I put it back on my PC and I had to Restart the moden 3 or 4 time for it to work, but Now I can't get back on FFXI!

I hope some one out there can help me :(

sounds like you need a router and a modem....to run the pc and ps2 together do theat first...so you dont have to swithdh to ps2 and then to pc....

Cable modems have to be reset most of the time when you switch them from one type of device to another.
This is one of the reasons why most people attach routers to the modem, it prevents you from having to reset each time you wish to add a new device.
Also, router will give you DHCP and NAT so that both can be on the internet simultaneously.
