What is TnL?

When I click the Play button on the viewer. it says error; failed to detect TnL on your computer. What does that mean?

ummm, i think i got that error way back when beta started, had to get a new videocard, i think it was a tnl hardware error, cant remember 100% tho >.< sorry

It means your computer can't run FFXI, get a better graphics card

Is your video card on the list of supported cards? If not you are probably out of luck. Either way, try reinstalling DirectX 8 (or 9), and try getting the latest video card drivers for your card.

Not sure what is on your computer? Right click on your desktop, select Properties, Settings, Advanced, Adapter.

I am guessing you need a new video card.
