View Full Version : The truth about multiple crafts past 60?

I currently am a crafter with 60 cooking, 42 leather, 45 gold, and 92 cloth. After reading today's updates, I went to speak with the test giver for the cloth guild. What I heard was shocking.

I had taken the craftsman test for cooking long ago, as I understood that only going past 60 would affect my other crafts. However skilling cloth was becoming so tediously painful (.1/12+ synths) past 80 or so, that I certainly couldn't test this out.

When I spoke to my test giver/guild leader, she advised me that my skilling must have been very hard, and I was retarted by the fact that I was a craftsman in another guild. She offered to remove my status as a craftsman in that guild, which I readily agreed to. My cooking remained at 60, but I am now a journeyman.

I've not had a chance to test my skillups since this event, but perhaps this is finally an answer to the rumors that had always been around. I know that skilling recently has been incredibly difficult. I'm going to push through another point or two soon and test this out.

Hmmm... that's interesting.

I capped my smithing at 60/Journeyman and then started to raise wood and bone, but I never passed the Craftsmen test for the simple reason that it might actually skill up on a craft with, say, wood and smithing. I guess it wouldn't really apply to me then, but is interesting nonetheless ^_^;

Looks like I made a good call :D (for once)

The skilling I've done over the interum confirms this. My skillup rate has doubled or nearly tripled. Where before I was getting .1/6 to 12 synths, I'm now getting .1/2-4.

Quite obnoxious I got to 92 like this before they put in a fix, but good to have for the next 18 levels nontheless.
