I was told that when you started using a two handed sword, you'd miss lots of attacks and maybe even that the damage done by the weapon is low... but after you fight so many times, your character becomes more skilled with the weapon, so they hit more instead of miss and the damage done by the weapon increases.

I bought the two handed level 10 sword, and it seems to work pretty well... sooooo... Can anyone clear me up on this?

weapon skill help you hit more.

The time you need training, is when your skill fall wayyyyy behind cap. for example, at level 30 you should have weapon skill cap at around 100. if you start using a new weapon with skill below 40 fighting totetote enemy, you can't hit them. And would be impossible to charge TP for any renkei.

each enemy will give you chance to raise skill differently depends on thier level. for example level 1 enemy should be able to raise you skill to 10, level 5 to 25, etc. so if you start a new weapon from zero a good way is to go raise them from easy enemy up ot tougher ones. (if you start out fighting tough ones, you won't hit as much. and skill won't gain without hitting)

OK. That makes sense.

So... whenever I hit an enemy, and a message that includes (for instance) .3 in it... is that how much my weapon skill has improved?

Also, how can I check my weapon skill level?

in the menu, first menu > third option (?퓬‚̃XƒLƒ‹).

blue text means you max out your weapon skill at the current lvl (it will be increase when you lvl up)
