Drone vs Dodge (Earrings)

I just passed the lvl30 mark and I was wondering which set of earrings I should invest in Dodge or Drone? I really dont know which I hear different theory's about them.

One ive heard is .... 1AGI = +2 Evasion
Also heard = 2AGI= +1 Evasion

Can you guys fill me in on which set of earrings would be best for a THF?

get the drones your not tanking so it doent matter plus it good for your TA well hope that helped

agi supposedly boosts damage while doing your trick attack.

evasion is better than agi when you're:
pulling fast monsters that hit you multiple times before your tank provokes it, such as raptors and coeurl.
soloing monsters for farming.

agi and evasion are useless while doing normal attacks and not tanking, so + attack earrings would be best while charging tp.

This means you could have 3 macros for equipment based on what you're doing =>.>=;;; or just be lazy and keep agi earrings on.

2agi = 1 evasion supposedly... and i've seen no actuall diffrence that AGI increases trick damage~ Also going to have to say +attack earrings are probably the best choice.

Large boosts to agi (like +6 from drones) clearly increase trick attack damage.

I'd say definatly Drone Earrings. Also if you're subbing NIN try getting a Genin Earring (I think I spelled it right ><) which will give +4 AGI. :thumbsup:

Ranging at around maybe 100k heh. The AGI also lowers chance of being hit by a critical blow which can also help if utsusemi wears before you made it back to your pt.

So Koru, with Ninja subbed, Genin earring will always give +4 agi, or is it one of those latent effect deals? :confused:

I know how latent effect works in those earrings, its activated with 2 conditions: subjob and HP%. Some latent effect eq its great and some other is not good at all (singer earring). Being a Thf/Nin, and playing in a PT its really hard to get hited, unless pulled link or fast mobs, to be truth I actually dont remember the last time I received a Cure in a XP PT, at most a regen, so the +4 Agi wont be active all the time. I would rather use 2 drone earring and always have a +6 Agi.

Um the lv 30 earrings are subjob only latents. Hp % has nothing to do with them. It's active 100% of the time as long as you have the right sub.

It is for me no matter what my hp% is at.

Odepa, maybe you were thinking of the level 50 rings? Those latent effects kick in on HP% i'm pretty sure ^^
