Warrior sub until 30?

Im going to be a ranger when I hit 30, but before that time I want to go to level 18 with WAR, get subjob quest, then be thief until 30. I want thief to be 30 because of the profits. But does WAR makes a good sub until 30?

Yeah, war will be the best sub until 30, esp. if you plan on using ranger later on.

Some people go thf/monk and use h2h, but /war is a much more versatile sub for a number of other jobs you may end up raising, so I'd say go with that.

/requisite advice:
Pre-33, daggers bite wang. Stick with the strongest 1h sword you can have and just keep dagger leveled when you're stuck in a crappy party that won't notice your even crappier damage.
