I tend to believe the latter :)

Last night, I PT'd in Onzozo fighting Toramas expecting to be wiffing and missing on these "legendary" evaders, but found them to be about as evasive as a...well, something not very evasive ><;

Results:

46 fights
Bigokk (62 WAR/NIN)
Average Damage: 1467.11
Average Percent: 36.70
Average Accuracy: 70.53

Logs: http://www.homestead.com/darxil1/files/081904-report.rtf

No Bard, I think I got Hastaga once the whole night.

(I took out the OSE kills and the Goblin/Leech battles also)

I really don't think they are any harder to hit than Raptors were a few levels ago...with +51 ACC in gear^^.

What job is Exceed btw? I want to say DRK...

Bigokk, find yourself a BLM and a good THF then go nuts. Spinning Axe >> Dancing Edge for Scission then MB with Stone III, pre-63, and Stonega III 63+. You will not be able to keep up damage-wise with the THF nor the BLM and the experience pours in. A THF ending Scission will do Scission for about 100 more damage than Distortion with a WAR ending. MUCH more powerful on Toramas and you might as well take advantage of this opportunity to party with a THF :). Overall, Spinning Axe >> Dancing Edge does more damage than Vorpal Scythe >> Rampage, also.

This put me in an interesting situation where I was finally lower on the damage ladder, but still contributing to the party. Spinning Axe (200) >> Dancing Edge (700) >> Scission (150) >> Stonega III (920) = owned. I believe the party below was good for 3000 exp/hr while everybody but the BLM was lv61.

Example:
Liimhye (gimpass WAR/NIN)
Average Damage: 884.169
Average Percent: 21.421
Average Accuracy: 61.57

Pusspuss (teh uber THF/NIN)
Average Damage: 1298.551
Average Percent: 31.337
Average Accuracy: 58.95

Chipmunk (always drawing aggro BLM/RDM)
Average Damage: 1413.184
Average Percent: 34.758
Average Accuracy: 0

If you find a crappy THF, or in the case of my last two parties, an Elvaan THF, then my damage goes up, the BLMs damage goes up, and the THFs damage is down.

Example:
Liimhye WAR/NIN
Average Damage: 1064.25
Average Percent: 26.14
Average Accuracy: 60.59

<unnamed> THF/NIN
Average Damage: 1107.375
Average Percent: 27.10
Average Accuracy: 41.36

Chipmunk BLM/RDM
Average Damage: 1603.125
Average Percent: 38.95

When I fought raptors, I had about 70% accuracy on them with +31 ACC. When I went to Onzozo at lv61, I had 60% accuracy with +41 ACC. At lv62, I had 60% accuracy with only +31 ACC. I don't know if that is a good thing you gained 10% accuracy with an extra +20 ACC or it is a bad thing you only gained 10% accuracy with an extra +20 ACC. The +20 ACC difference will cost me 3.5mil ;;

I like checking out your parses because then I can point at the screen and go "I've partied with them, them, them, talked to them, them, and seen them, them and them..." ;) Too bad I didn't accept the party invitation from Ayako; we could have taken Ose together.

I don't mean to take over the thread, just trying to add some more data to compare to.

Yes, Exceed is DRK, Izabelle is WHM and Balakir is PLD.
What equipment does Exceed has? You outdamage him badly. >.>

One important thing, to you, what was the exact con of most Toramas? Just IT or IT with high D or IT with high D an eva?

Izabelle = SMN/WHM

The Toramas conned anywhere from (low end) Low Evasion Low Defense without Aggressor and Berserk to just IT (high end). I was very suprised to see that some were Low Evasion Low Defense without my offensive abilities on.

Take into consideration that I have +51 ACC and Exceed had, I think, +26, but was a pretty good player. Some are just not as fortunate with gil and it really is a shame when you see good players without top of the line gear to go along with their skill *cough Liimhye cough*. I'd like to see outstanding players in top of the line gear, but it just doesn't happen that way =/

Another thing that I always like to be pointed out, we were doing Vorpal Scythe > Rampage, so he wasn't using his most damaging WS while I was.

Torama's are much easier at lv62 than they are at lv60. Most people hate them because they're particularly difficult to exp on at lv60 and lv61. By lv62, they're much easier, and by lv63, they're a joke. 63 is also where the exp drops off (if not at lv62).

Except I assume your using Viking Axes?

The DMG on Viking Axes really makes them bad. The difference between using Francisca and Viking Axe is about 10 per hit, and sometimes hundreds on Rampage.

But in order to hit some things (Toramas, HNMs, ect) you basically have to using Viking Axes. But if you were to fight something like, say, Birds in Ru'Aun Gardens, then you can go full out DMG/ATK/STR gear, you attack harder, fights end quicker, and EXP is better.

It's not that the high evade mobs are hard to hit, it's just that you're giving up a good chunk of damage in order to hit them.

Main: Darksteel Axe+1
Off-hand: Viking Axe

I have been unable to find that damn Antican Tag in Quicksand for Tungi, and sitting in Boyhada for hours for the off-chance some one doesn't want it is not appealing ; ;

Oh, you were probably wearing Life Belt then? When you said 53 ACC and I clicked on your sig, I only counted 40something, so I figured you went with Dual Viking.

No really good offensive axe at that level, unfortunatly. IMO, not much difference between Francisca and Dark Steel+1. Just be sure to try and get a Acha d'Armas, it should be easy with a party of ~68's. Very good offensive axe.

Master Belt: +5 Acc +5 Atk
Royal Guard Mufflers: +3 Acc

*not shown in profile since I only use them against high EVA mobs

EDIT:
Yeah, I am gonna call in all favors to get the Acha :)
