Barrage + Elemental Arrows

So last night I tried using some of the elemental arrows for the first time (fire,ice,lightning arrows). I switched to the arrow that the mob was weak against before using barrage and noticed a big improvement in the damage output. I used scorpion arrows in the past on the same mobs and would usually do around 300ish dmg on average 400ish with a nice barrage. After trying elemental arrows I was doing like 400ish on average and 500ish on a good barrage I even hit 606 one time! :) Anybody else try this method?

Elemental arrows really do good damage if it's a Vt-It you can hit consistantly.

I can see where you'd pick up around 40-50 points or so on a full barrage, but that added damage is suprising. I think you may have got a few crits in on some of those. But hey, let us know if it keeps doing that consistantly.

Added effect does not trigger on Barrage or WS, but Elemental Arrows have a higher D rating than Scorpion (29 vs. 24). That's why you are getting higher Barrages.

I wouldn't worry about using whatever the mob is weak to... just use whichever elementals are cheapest. From all accounts I've heard, the added effect is usually the same no matter what they are weak to.
