Using Xbow, Bow, and Gun.

Is it okay for a Ranger to switch between all 3 during a PT? I mean dont they have the same WS's basically? I'd like to get all 3 and bring about 3-4 stacks for each. Just wondering. Thanks.

Yes. Just try and switch after a WS to keep TP loss down.

Well yeah its ok if you have a reason for using them. I use xbow for bloody bolts and acid bolts, but taht does cut down on my TP use because I use my acid bolts to pull and to drop a def down status effect or 2 and I use bloody bolts for healing, so I don't always get to use my TP before I switch. I constantly lose 3-4 shots worth of TP on switching. :( I'm about to stop carrying xbow because of how much TP I lose by using it. :( But to answer your question, go for it, there nothing wrong with it unless you are in some sort of set SC.

Well, I was planning to do WS along with what ever weapon I was doing damage with at the moment. So, i'd use gun maybe one battle and wait till I did WS to switch again. Or maybe use Xbow for 2-3 shots then switch to bow or gun and get WS and use and repeat? Thanks.

Eh, I'd use them for a while before swapping around. But, thats just me.

Well yeah its ok if you have a reason for using them.

Feeling like using them is good enough reason. You can justify using crossbows for defense down etc. (Even though I don't like them much.)

I totally agree the TP loss would be tremendous and you'll be missing out on a lot of damage from your ws.

honestly, i think i'm using bow and only bow, just gonna forget about crossbow and gun. gun doesn't seem worth the money, especially since its hard enough to keep hate off rng's anyway. crossbow's just dont seem very good... i doubt i'm going to buy an E bow either. it runs 4 million on gilgamesh. most things on my server are much cheaper than other servers, so raising 4 million is damn near impossible. i mean this bow is more than an entire adaman set. it doesnt seem like its worth that much to me. like it isnt going to make or break me.

So camp an Oth bow later. The hate situation turns around somewhat later on, but it's not worth totally neglecting your marksmanship for. Plus guns are cool :D

ummm... what i do is switch bow to Xbow after i finish a WS.

Okay, well my PT tonight was 34-35 Rng(me), Rng(Taru), Ninja(Miyamoto), Ninja(Hume), Blm, and Smn...Yes...hella good party. Anyways, we all got 3 levels in the end. I also came to a conclusion.

Xbow = Good only mainly for Acid Bolts. HP solo. Blind for Ninja in the PT. Poison solo.

Guns = PWNAGE DAMAGE. >.> I was hitting 105+ and got 460 barrage, even with a few acid bolts beforehand.

Bow = Alittle weaker than Gun but still alright and very quick.

The Taru was using xbow the entire time while I used gun for 3 stacks and was outdamaging him by at least 60. Then I had to switch to bow (AH didn't have any more stacks of bullets). Anyways, i'd like to stick to Gun as much as possible and bow as an alternative.
