Which subjob for my spt?

Hey, just reaching 60 I got guillotine, and the option of sub THF. I usually SPT with rdm rdm whm blm pld. Since there is no trick partner, should I continue to sub WAR for more guillotine damage, double attack, etc?

Definitely war sub, your pt looks a little light on dmg (sub war= more dmg), and war sub builds tp faster too. If the rdms melee you can chain with them too depending what weapons they use. Hell, since its a set pt, you could mess around with one rdm/rng and try guillotine > Sidewinder, but only if he somehow miraculously gets 200+tp for accuracy.

Both of the rdms sub nin, one of them is decked out in atk/acc gear, while the other is more magic oriented. We do ok for damage.

Yeah,I have a similar problem. My set party set up: WHM/BLM,BRD/WHM,BLM/WHM,PLD/WAR,RNG/NIN,DRK/WAR (me).
I want to sub thief badly,but is there anyway I can pull SA/TA off with this set up? :confused:

it will be hard to get SA off with your setup. the rng WS will no doubt turn the mob, but since it starts the SC you can't end with SA/TA guillo unless you settle with lv1 Induration.
sadly, Side -> Sickle only gives you lv1 impaction. your best bet is to just TA -> Guillo on the tank before rng does WS, and hope he can bring it back after the SC. But it's probably better to just go with /war
fortunately, at 65+ your situation gets better. You can either
1) Rng WS -> Swift Blade -> SA/TA Cross Reaper. Since the Rng WS will turn the mob first, and Swift Blade is weak, you should be able to pull this off. However, this SC is very strong and will no doubt 1 shot a poor little crawler(or close with MB)
or
2) wait for 66 and Arching Arrow/Heavy Shot -> Spin Slash.
This is less of a hassle as the Rng's WS *usually* turns the mob(reason i say usually is because it's not as strong as sidewinder). Unfortunately, crawler and flies aren't very weak to Light so you may get frequent resistance.

as for the guy with no other melee.... get another melee, and go with /war. orz
