Ok I have come across this problem ALOT recently in FFXI.
Sure were all used to being in a PT with JP, where they talk in there lil squiggly lines (lol) and its alright, cause 3/4's the time, they know enough english to get the pt along, can talk to u kind of, make u feal welcomed in the pt.

However... recently I have come across alot of people speaking other launages expect JP and english... ex. Itillian (spelling) Spanish, and a few eurpean launages.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem on their servers, but a vast lot of the people not speaking English, or Jp that I have pt'ed with on Ragnarok have been.
1. Rude, won't listen, i've gone as far as to go on freetranslations.com on 2nd computer, typed up what party needs, then they /poke /fume me for hours.
2. Do not try at all to do what the pt needs.
ex. I went on website again and did "we need u to provoke when ninja's (utusumi) is about to run out" all in itillian to a guy.
after taht he kicked me from pt, and start /telling me stuff with !!! so i guess he was swearing..

anyone else ever have this problem?

I think the lesson to be learned here is not to use online translation tools, rather than assuming non-English speakers are rude. For all you know, you might have been saying something rude to him in his language. Cultural boundaries are difficult to cross in online games because you cannot see the person you are talking to, so 85% of human emotions are lost in the ether. Use a translation tool to help you speak and you lose another 10%, so things get rather tricky ;)

No, they should realize that you're atleast trying to communicate with them. If they're getting mad because you're trying to make it easier on the entire party and you don't say everything how it should be, that's their problem.

I've never been in a party with Europeans that didn't understand English. Hell, I've only been in 1 party where no one understood English, and that was when I was leveling SAM in Valkrum. One of the most boring parties I had ever been in, heh.

A good place to start would be putting your own words into something that translates to English.
