AF Gloves quest question

Hello-

I have a question about the AF Gloves. I used to play Dark Knight, got it to level 51, and did the AF1 and 2 quests. And I got the Coffer key for the Gloves quest, and I talked to Guslam about the Gloves quest (But, I did not open the coffer, and get my "old gauntlets" yet and obviously haven't fought Dark Spark yet). But, I switched to Summoner when they released that patch for the level 20 avatar quests, and am really enjoying that job now, and my SMN is now 53. But, the coffer I need for my gloves is in a differant place (Sea Serpeant Grotto).

My question is; since I already talked to Guslam about my DRK AF gloves, does this mean I have to totally complete that quest (going and opening the coffer and then fighting Dark Spart) even though I don't want the gloves anymore?

Or can I just talk to him again on my SMN and get the quest for my gloves from him, and then just get my SSG key and do Dark Spark with my SMN?
