with a gun I could do about 20% more dmg than a bow. but bullets costs a hell. 1 stack bullet costs 8k at ah. or at vendor about 10k pro stack.
well my question is. do you guys only use bullet just for skilling up marksmanship and when is capped switch it again to bow. or you have a nice way to get cheap bullets ? :)

Yea, if yur gonna buy 99 bullets for lvl 1, it'll cost ya over 100K. (thatz not even including the gun)
A Gun isn't really something that you'll use in a random battle, itz more like a "Last Resort"
Most of the time when the rangers that I've seen, used there guns in Tight situations, or a boss battle. But yes a Gun will level up your ACC points but a bow is a shit load cheaper!

>_>" Not sure if people know this or not but a Crossbow with bolts lvls Marksmanship and cost a lot less than Bullets. I would suggest going with Crossbow to lvl marksmanship and then switching to gun when you actually have the funding for it.

Skilling up, boss battles, showing off, etc. Unfortunately, unless you know a high level alchemist who can make them, there is no way to use bullets cost effectively.
Personally I would stick to crossbows until 50

Wtf ever happened to Shakras? They are a throwin' item (kinda like Boomerrangs) so they don't take up ammo, I thought u could level up yur ACC with those
Arn't Shakras a shit load more practicle if you've gotta "Tight Pocket Book"?

chakras = throwing not guns,,, from what my rng friends have told me guns dont start getting too good til musketeers and musk +1, so they just skilledup there x-bow til then.

hmm, from what you guys are saying, it sounds like marksmanship effects using a bow...is this the case? i was assuming when you used a bow only your archery skill mattered and marksmanship effected only gun and crossbow...

Archery Skill - Effects damage and accuracy of Bow weapons.
Marksmanship Skill - Effects damage and accuracy of Crossbow and Gun type weapons.
Throwing Skill - Effects the damage and accuracy of throwing weapons, for instance Chakras and Boomerangs.
Most people level up Marksmanship by using a crossbow, mainly because it has a lower delay and is alot cheaper to use when compared to using a Gun.
The only reason they do level up marksmanship is for using guns in XP partys of for using different types of bolts while farming, for instance bloody bolts.
In XP parties most RNGs I've seen skill up with a gun in partys then switch back to a bow and, as M'n'M noted, they use Guns in tight spots and Bosses.
Currently my Marksmanship is 100 when the cap is 150-something. (1-100 in two days thanks to the worm error =D)
