I really need advice on how to get Sniper rings -__-

I've been mining at Ifrits for a while, and have been getting some decent money out of it. But now it just seems whenever I go there now it is just either too populated, I never find a mining spot, or I never get any of the good ores and I feel like I'm wasting time. Can you guys give me any other ways I could use to save up for my Sniper rings? I want to get them ASAP.

If you want toget your Snipers fast, I suggest NM hunting. Camp Hoo Mjuu the Torrent or Leaping Lizzy or Valkurm Emperor (the latter two use WideScan with /RNG). One drop = one Sniper Ring in Hoo Mjuu's case. For the other's it gets you a nice way closer to affording one.

Other than that, farm as much as possible. Thunder Elementals, Rams, Lizard Skins, Tree Cuttings all good ways to make money if you farm their respective monsters. There are good places to do all of this although I leave finding the locations up to you. ^^

If you haven't done them already, do the Ninja+Teleport scroll quests and sell the scrolls....that's how I got my first.

You can try fishing, my friend put off leveling in favor or fishing, has farmed nearly 2 mil now, total. Now he doesn't even measure things in gil, he'll be like "yeah that's 6 moat carp. no problem."

Also can farm silks and crab meat in Oztroja, and camp that NM for Ochiudo's Kote at same time. They drop 2-3 silks and meat even without TH sometimes.

By the way, I know where I can get the Teleport Scoll quests, but how many Ninja scroll quests are there?

There's a few, might want to check the price for rusty leggings/subligars though. The scrolls you get for trading 10 of those are usually worth less than what you paid for the rusty stuff~

Edit: You also have to make a small investment if your fame isn't up there~ I spent 30k getting enough fame for Utsusemi

In Yagudo Necklaces I suspect? ^^ Is there a better..and cheaper way to get enough fame?

I'm not sure, I never tried Yagudo Necklaces because I heard they gave you less fame. I did zinc ores, and you do get some money back for turning them in. Forget how much.

I believe you get 100 gil for 4, and 4 cost 1200. On the bright side it does pay off when you sell that hojo or whatever.

It took me 148 Yag Necklaces and completion of both the Rusty Subligara/Legging quest before I was given all the Ninja Scroll quests. Utesemi, Tonko, Jubaku, Kuryrami, and Hojo are all worth a nice sack of gil and very insanely easy if you have sneak oils.

And since you'll be in the area, try building up the fame for the "Wish Upon a Star" quest in Bastok. On Diabolos those Cactus Stems are worth 12k each in Jueno (you get 4 from the quest), meaning you can make a very easy 48k.

Was camping Hoo Mjuu and he just so happened to spawn right in my face. The new patch helps alot when camping NM. There was about 9 other people there and I knew they would have out pulled me if the claimed patch wasn't put in. Yay! One more to go :spin:

Heh, I still havn't done any of those teleport quests. I should really get on that. Some of those scrolls sell for 40k.

Instead of whining like most everybody else about something you couldn't afford it at the time, you did what you had to do to get it. Good job.
