Sword Skill 215+

I am trying to raise my sword skill up past 215, I am not sure if there is something I can solo to get it up or not. Either that or perhaps getting a skill up PT going in sky. What would be my best option to solo some of it at the very least, if I don't bother to go to sky?

The reason I ask is next level with 240 sword skill I can get Savage Blade, which I pray to god will be better at farming than fast blade -_-;;

At 100% TP, savage blade seems to do about 3-3.5 times your normal damage. The real nice thing about it (and all other quest ws, I believe), is that damage scales up somewhat linearly with more TP.

Example, for me say I hit a mob for 80-100, Savage 100% TP would do 300-350, Savage 300% TP would do 800-1000, Savage 300% TP + Sneak Attack is 1000-1200.

Also it would be rather hard to lvl your sword to 240 solo, because you'd need to fight lvl 73 mobs to cap it. Not impossible, but somewhat risky, tedious, and time-consuming. Tu'lia Light Elementals are probably the best; a single party of lvl 70+ (all skilling up) would have little difficulty taking them on, plus you can take every single skill to cap on them.

If you insist on solo'ing though, some mobs around the 70-75 range (I'm quoting from memory) would be steelshells and skimmers in boyahda, or perhaps processionaires. There's a website that lists all the monsters and their level ranges, but I'm at work and can't remember it off-hand :zzz:

Ah great thanks so much for the info on the WS, certainly sounds like its worth it. I do agree trying to solo the skill ups would be a pain. However I tend to find dealing with people and getting them to the sky when they forget sneak oils or what not drives me insane.
