I mean for effectiveness... I had my whm sub on for farming and someone invited me to their pt.... well I forgot to change my subjob and so I was in the pt as a rng/whm lol... and I still pulled hate of the pally... I still did more damage than anyone in the pt. and I was able to do some stupid stuff like cure poison and emergency cures.

Until 28 or 30? Probably dosen't really matter much.

Yeah it really doesn't matter what you sub until 28 when you get archer knives. Most subjobs don't really start to show their true colors until the high 20s anyway. But soon after 28 I'm sure you will be seeing, especially as a galka, that dual wielding those archer knives will be something that you want to do. :spin:

Well then you should definitely see a diff in dmg between rng/war and rng/whm. I was lvl 1 and subbed whm cause thats how I had lvled to 30 but when I saw the dmg I switched to war immediately and was doing 10-15 more dmg per shot. So yeah I would imagine, just like every other job in the game, it does matter what you sub.

yes I DID see a drop in my damage... but as I said I was STILL doing the most damage in the party... with rng you hold back anyway so while I had my whm accidentally subbed I held back less XD

I wouldn't think of changing my sub to whm or anything like that apart from soloing... but my question was... does it really matter?:confused:

yes, it does matter what you sub later, like they said eairly levels isnt too big of a deal since sub doesnt do *too* much..
higher levels, more agi from nin+dual wield/utsusemi
war- more damage/fun :P

cures/poisona and whatnot are the whm/blm/rdm/brd job

i subbed /war until 55 when i stopped playin. when i get back ill get 56 then lvl my ninja from 13-37 :).
