poison 2 - is it worth it?

the DoTs around 8dmg a tick. Not bad but not great. up to you... noone will expect you to cast it, but it can never hurt to have a spell.

lvl 58 without either poison or poison2? O.o

Some have compared this to the enfeeble version of drain, a great spell that does allot for the mp at higher levels when your enfeeble is very high.

Hmm.. casting Poison II lets the Wild Hares in West Ronfaure die quicker ^^

I have the spell but I haven't used it much in EXP parties... should it make *that* much of a difference? o.o Because if I'm casting it only to have it wear off in ten seconds it's really not worth the MP -_-

don't worry, i have all the other necessary spells. its just that poison (or ver 2 of it) never really... impressed me.

poison II kicks ass. i'm not positive what the DoT rate is, i do know that it is 8 per tick when i have it on me. from what i've read around these forums, when you cast it, the DoT rate is based on enfeebling skill. the spell itself lasts much, much, much longer than poison I. cast it on a mob at the beginning of battle, if the damage rate is 8 per tick, on a typical mob it would do 160-240 damage. not too shabby.

I think every damage pretty much counts and 240 is really nice IMO. I simply avoided it since i wasn't too sure if it stacks w/ Dia...does it?

Poison and Poison II pretty much stack with everything. I would assume that Poison II overwrites Poison I. However, Poison II will stack with Bio/Dia and all the elemental debuffs.

pretty much the only time I use Poison2 is near the beginning of BC50 and BC60 fights when you still have tons of MP, otherwise I may have used the spell maybe once or twice in a PT situation

I simply don't see it as effective against anything considerably higher than you in level, if I want to do 240 damage I'll just smack the monster with Blizzard2, but Poison2 doesn't seem to last long enough to be worth the cost

I dont feel bad for not having posion 2 now! I didnt realize it was a spell RDM got untill like level 60, then I decided it was to expensive for how little it did --;
