You can take all your craft skills to 60 without any penalties. But after that, you have a total of 40 points to spread to your craft(s). If you have 58 cooking, you can still get 100 in Clothcraft, but your cooking will only go up to 60 (unless you don't want clothcraft at 100).

I've heard about that 60/40 also, but many more people have said that you can max out all of your skills, and they say it's been proven already. What's the real deal? Someone who's already maxed what they can, give us some answers please!

I've got cooking at 60 and cloth at 74, which I plan on taking to 100 (which will take months lol). The real problem is that each .1, much each full point, costs so much that I'm afraid to test it out.

When a failed synth costs me 55k or more, my inclination to test is pretty low. ^^

I will say that once you reach craftsman level it's implied, as after my cooking test the guildmaster he explicitly told me if I practice another craft too much my skills in my current craft will deteorate.

As far as proof? I honestly haven't seen any, but I'm not about to spend 500k testing it lol.
