Gaining a sub job

I am extremely new to the game(2 days now) and I have been reading some on sub jobs. I have seen that guides state you have to be level 18 to get a sub job, but then I see people saying they are a lvl 14 Job/Job. Have the Sub Job requirements changed?

no. when they are level 14 job/job what they have done is, already taken one job to 18 to get the sub job quest done, and are now leveling a new job, and their new job is only 14.

Or it mean's they leveled one job a bit, went to the mog house and switched jobs and leveled that one a bit.

:confused: I have a lvl 18 rdmg i was told to get your sub job u need to have certain items, a crab apron, a worm from a fly & a skull from a ghoul. i have also heard people talk about a bat wing? what items do u need and where in selbina do u need to go to get ur sub job also is there a quest or are u just tradeing the items to a person in selbina to obtain your sub job?

For the subjob quest in Selbina
You need :
Crab Apron - Dropped by Snippers
Damselfly Worm - Dropped by Damselflys
Magicked Skulll - Dropped by Ghouls

Talk to the person by the water in the SW corner of Selbina.
Isacio (G-10).
Ghouls spawn at night in Valkrum, or always in Gusgen mines.

You can do the subjob quest in Mhuara
You need:
Dhamel Saliva - Dropped by Dhamels
Bloody Robe- Dropped by Bogys
Wild Rabbit Tail - Dropped by Mighty Rarabs

Talk to Vera at (G-10) in Mhaura

Ghouls spawn from 20:00 to 05:00.
I could be wrong, but i am pretty sure, it may be 04:00.
Not to hard to gather the items if you are grouped. I got all three in one night.

Ghouls are available to kill 24/7 in both Gusgen Mines and Maze of Shakrami as well; however, I think the drop rate is lower in those areas. But you might wanna check there if you don't wanna wait til 20:00.
