Hey, I just started playing today, I'm level 6 and I'm looking for some easy gold because my gear sucks.
Any suggestions?

I agree with Thark on this one, when i started, i waited until i had stacks of 12 crystals (i would leave leveling and back to town with about 7 stacks) and by the time i hit level 10, even after buying my armor, i had a total of about 22k gil.

How do you get Crystals?

Talk to guards of your own nation having some abbrivation in the end of their name. usually two letters.

These will give you the option to get "signet".

And with signet on monsters that con anything above not worthwhile will drop crystals.

I've had some luck with crystals, made about 3k gold.. anyone know hot spots for crystals? Or any other suggestions?

Hello there!!!
At low level u should be interested in FIRE, and WIND crystals, because those ones sells pretty nice at Auction House. 12 EARTH crystals are like a crap - worth about 300 gil, same with WATER ones 400-500 gil, although water ones sells pretty fastaru :)
Im Windurstian so Ill tell u which monsters u should be killing in Sarutabaruta region:
Bees, birds, and Yagudos - from them u will get FIRE or WIND crystals.
Also at low lvl u can try some crafting:
Wind + Yagudo Necklace = 3 spools of grass thread
Earth + 3 spools of grass thread = 1 grass cloth
Wind + 1 grass thread, 2 grass clothes = headgear
Earth + 1 grass thread, 2 grass clothes = cape
and so on, and so on

Yeah On Fairy your luck with crystals are

Fire = 1800-2300
Lightining = 1000-1500
Earth = 300-1200
Water = 500-800
Light = 3000-5000
Dark = 2500-3500
Wind = 1200-1700
Ice I am unsure haven't gone to buy or sell any in awhile. These crystal fluctuate by time earth crystals for example I was shock had to buy them for 1200 a stack yesterday.

Dark and Light crystals are the most expencive and are possible to get at low levels if you're in the right area.

Light crystals can be gained from Cardians in the Outer Hotourou ruins in West Sutarabatu near Windurst. Stick to the first few rooms though, things can get hard fast.

Dark Crystals can be gained from Funguar's that you'll find around the southern area of West Ronfaure near San d'Oria.

Depending on your nation you may have diff item for gil quest. For example (its been a while so correct me if im wrong) in Sandoria you can give an npc 3 bat wings (very easy to kill bats near the gates of town if your over lvl 2) and you get about 300 gil in return. The numbers i have could be wrong..cause as i said its been a while..but its quick..easy..gil

Its 2 bat wings for 200 gil (so its 100 gil per bat wing like you said though). The guy is in North San'doria close to the Blacksmith guild. This is a good way to get money because at low levels you get wind crystals and bat wings commonly from bats.

If you want easy gold, do quests around your city. Talk to NPCs get quests earn money. Hoarde the Crystals that are dropped and sell them in stacks of 12. Wind, Dark and Fire fetching the highest price (not including light because isnt a light crystal dropper in a newbie zone that i know ofr o_o). blah blah blah blah blah, in conclusion there is NO EASY WAY to get money~

I mean gil, and I'm in Bastok. I just switched servers to Ragnarok, the economy here is fucked, everything seems so much more expensive then on Garuda where I was.

To make an easy 600 in windurst you can get 3 crawler calcai and trade them to a mythra near the dhemals. You can also sell 12 silk threads for about 12k. :)

this is once again why sandoria owns all ..

In west, ron and east . ron you can easily farm

orcs- fire -various junk-spells
bats - wind - bat fangs - bat wings
fungars ****** highly recommended for darks and sleepyshrooms

darks will get you an "easy" 2500 gil + on most servers .. they will sell quick as hell to .. usually before you can even build a new stack ..

also when you hit lv 10+ you can farm in ghelsaba

Watch Lizards **easy ass fires.. they also link .. so if you can kill multiple .. then fast killing ..

More fungars .. a whole group of them in one cave .. a great spot in the off hours and orcs and bats .. plus you can get exp ..

i don't think bastok or windy makes it this easy to farm .. cept bastok seems really easy to level and windy has some decent easy sythesis / quest items

I always level outside bastok at lv 1-10 with melee's
worms can get your sub up to lv 8 in like a hours or less
