I love playing Paladin. I just do. I would be in my 60s easily by now, if it was not for one thing... Gil.

I'm broke. Whenever I get into a party, its usually with my friends who don't mind my gimp equipment. Sometimes I do get into other parties. But regardless, I feel bad because I feel like I'm gimping the party anyways because of equipment. To give you an idea of how bad my equipment is, I'm still using a Tiger Stole (I do have my AF though...). I almost don't want to party anymore because of my equipment.

I really have no clue how to make money. I've tried farming, but I really have no clue what to farm, and for some reason I don't have the patience. Maybe it's because I not doing it the best way... I've tried NM camping, and actually I have the patience for that, but I've never gotten a drop (even with THF sub), and half the time I get beaten to the mob if somebody else is there.

I have all of 40k on me, and I really don't know what to do to begin to make money. I've tried gardening, but with my somewhat unpredictable schedule, most of the times my plant withers and dies. I've tried mining. I get about 1 good run out of 5, and its not really worth it. I've tried crafting, my blacksmithing is at 8 now, but I only have 40k left.

I've run out of ideas, and I just don't know what to do. I'm at the breaking point now, and... yeah.

Can anyone help this poor PLD out?

I think the best for you is to farm... I've never really had any money problems, and I've only had a single NM drop before. The rest was all farming!

My newest farming spot, I can usually make 20-25K an hour, which isn't even that good, but good enough for me. I tried camping Oztroja for about 10 hours one day. 0/6 on Quu and 0/4 on Mee... was not a good day... If I had just spent those 10 hours farming, i would have 200k! I still made about 30K that day from silk/white rocks/crab meat and the crappy NM drops.

But some good ideas for farming is tiger teeth in Batilla Downs. you can easily get a 1.5 stack in an hour (which equates to about 10K). Then you will also get about 5-6 hides, which you can either AH, or sell to NPC for another 2-3K. Also, steal from the tigers to get crab meat which sells for 4K a stack. Using this method, I was averaging ABOUT 15k an hour when I was having good drops.

My other OLD farming spot was Tahrongi canyon. beehive chips, cotton, wind clusters, etc, etc. This is actually a pretty good money maker, but too boring for me, but I probably raise 200-300k farming here so far.

Crafting is NOT a good idea unless you have at least 300-400k to invest into it. The GOOD profits don't really start coming in until the mid->high levels.

Gardening is also not good unless you are at your comp ALL THE TIME, or have a very consistent schedule. Also, the best rewards from farming take 21 days, IN REAL LIFE. and on top of that, those take a huge initial investment as well.

Finally, NM hunting is great, but I don't have the patience for it... you say you have your AF? are you level 60+ yet? If so, then you should consider doing BCNM60 (or 40) or start looking into making some HMN runs fighting serket or behemoth.

At your level I would advice u to go to Gusgen mines with at least 4 stacks, 6 stacks is perfect if u have Goby bags 1-4 for a 50 slot inverntory. About 80% of my income comes from Gusgen mines. If I would put a figure on how much gill I have got from Gusgen mine I would say its aroun 900k and that in less than 1 week + I wasn't really mining hardcore. I get between 40k-70k per trip. Most of the time though its 55-60k so thats quit good IMO.

The problem with gusgen mines on lakshmi is that is is always packed.

Gusgen is somewhat packed on Midgard, but its still a viable option. I usually make from 30k-50k, mininmum I made was about 18k.

If its packed, expect to spend a lot of time there. Whenever its not, going through 2 pickaxes/filling your inventory, is a breeze.

Go with /bst or /rng sub and go ram hunting I kill 10 a day.
