Dominate Nation?

Alittle confusion on my part concerning item drops.

Anyways, I'm farming in Jugner Forrest right now. At first the item drops were fairly frequent and now its maybe one item per third or forth mob. Before Windhurst was in control of the area, and now it is beastman controled since the last conquest update. I assume the item drop decrease is in correlation with the change in dominate nation. Am I mistaken?

I think it just affects the crystal drops... You can't get them when beastmen are in control...:confused:
