Trouble getting 1st fishing rank

What is required to become 1st rank in the fishing guild.
i have read Moat carp is the test you need to catch do i need to be a certain level in fishing to geturn in moat carp and who do i turn it into in Windurst.

U can take the test at lvl8 as in any other guild. If u do not take the test u will be caped at lvl10

U can catch moat carp anywhere in windy besides port area from lvl0 using small worms. if u cant get one just buy one as it doesnt matter for the test.

and u need to ttrade it to the girl standing in front of guild. the same girl u signed up with.

You need to be level 8 fishing at least for the mithra at the fishing guild in Windy to ask you for a moat carp, but you are right, that's the test you need to do to go on leveling after you hit 10.

You don't have to catch it either - you could just buy one. But Moat Carp is getting so damned expensive now, that you might just want to fish one up.

Just use insect paste, you'll catch those mote carps in a sec. ;)
