View Full Version : Asking for party information...
I mean stuffs like 'what jobs have you got in your party? and the lvl range?' .... are there new rules if you answer questions like that, you will get banned? O.o;;
I have had 2 times being turned down because I asked... and my friend even got a direct turndown: 'nevermind'...
I mean, what do people expect when they just send a tell 'Hi*invites*' 'Party?*invites*'.... err.. yes I am seeking party, but I would like to know if I am joining a group of weird players or a bunch of good players.... It's no different from just sending an invite without tell...

i guess the "nevermind"-pts are the ones with 5 wars using magesubs and 1h swords. ^^

Heh, one guy in my linkshell got turned down by a party because he asked for information about what they had, the general response of the folks on the LS was "Well, then you didn't want to party with them anyway."
If I'm forming a party, I'd be pleased to be asked such questions... it tells me I'm getting a player who knows what they're about.
Consider yourself lucky they didn't invite you.

NA parties still generally do the "PT OK??" deal with an instant invite, apparently... at least, i've seen that up to 48 which my brd's at (if i just happen to be cycling around the jobs and someone hits me in a search). I'd be highly cautious with someone that doesn't give the lowdown on the pt setup; depending on the level range you could figure it out by doing a /sea region and see who the ptm's are, but even then...
btw, I dont see too much of a problem with 1-hand sword only wars (disregarding their sub, anyway). At least that'll allow for a liquefaction toss for a fusion WS. Spears are tolerable since up to 30 there are a lot of mandras anyway, though I feel for them future drg's-to-be which don't realize the state of that job. If they're a war with only scythes though... yeah. I guess it'd be amusing if they subbed BLM and were pretending they were a wannabe DRK, though.

I always ask before accepting an invite now a days.If the PT leader wont take the time to let you know how the PT is set up then hes not worth my time.
I`ve had my fill of getting the "so and so invites you to his party" without a tell first,joining the party ,as a red mage,and finding 5 melle players and that famous message "you main healer,ok?"
