A WAR in my PT recently had this, he was teamed up with a DRK and were about the same level, DRK in full AF gear, and the WAR in Half WAR AF and Haubergeon
was hitting the enemy with about 40+ more damage on average and rarely missed. The armor seemed to boost his attacking ablitles by a lot and i was wondering is Haubergeon really that effective? Seeing a War outdoing a Drk in damage both in regular attacks and in Skillchain, made me think that the War class is quite overlooked as a damage class or is that armor really so powerful.

Well, not only is the armor +5 STR, 5 DEX it is also +10 Accuracy and +10 Attack, that alone can make a difference of 10-20 damage in a player. The type of food the WAR was eating compared to the DRK also has something to do with it.

I'm nearly a 67 DRK now, and I have yet to be outdamaged, except by a gun ranger. (Yes, I keep up with bow using rangers) I do use Haubergeon, and plan to use Hauberk once I reach 69. Haubergeon is definitely a strong modifying piece of armor, which is why it's so pricey. (1.5 million on my server) It's worth the buy, if you have the extra money to throw out.

As for a DRK being outdamaged by a WAR.. The WAR could have also had +STR rings, opposed to dual Sniper's rings that a DRK usually uses. Also other +STR and +Attack items, plus Berserk needs to be considered. With all of that, and a fairly poor equiped DRK, this can happen.

The Drk was well equipt, but was using full AF and accuray rings and used the same food. (Drk Elevan, War Hume) and such, while the War had Haubergeon + a great axe which was maxed out, and very powerfull. This Haubergeon+ the Brd spells made him almost never miss the IT mob. I was wondering what is the limit for Accuray+ when it stop actually improving your accuray ablitle in hitting Mobs?

I actually don't think there is a maximum to how high any of your stats can be. I've seen mages with MND+55, INT+55, CHR+60.. all sorta of things, and I'm sure it's still effective, even past a +50 amount.

Another thing, is that if the DRK was using Great Sword, his strength would be considerably lower. Scythes have much higher damage ratings than Great Swords do, but all in all, WAR is a very strong player later in the game.

Subjobs also effect strength and damage. DRK/THF is likely to be less strong than WAR/SAM, foresay, if the WAR has a considerable amount of better +STR/Attack armor than the DRK does. These are just some other things to consider when looking at this situation
